LAKE
DASIOU
A place worth visiting is the beautiful lake Dasia, located west of the plateau of mount Ziria at an altitude of 1,600 meters and is one of the most mountainous lakes of Greece. The lake is relatively small but beautiful and is surrounded by pine trees and wildflowers. An islet is formed in the middle of the lake. Lake Dasia is an ideal place to go hiking and mountain biking, while it is inhabited by many rare animal species, and is also protected by Natura 2000 network.
HIKING
Mountainous Corinth offers many enjoyable routes for hikers and nature lovers. One of the most beautiful routes is the Varnevo – Flabouritsa path.
ROUTES
BY CAR
You can enjoy the whole plateau with conventional car, jeep or motorbike. A short visit to lake Dasia as well as to the cave of Hermes which is located at an altitude of 1700 meters.
HORSE
BACK RIDING
The center of free horseback riding and mountain activities started its operation in September 2006 at Rethi of Corinth, near the famous city of Trikala. In our facilities we have calm and friendly horses for a walk in the surrounding valleys and the snowy slopes of mount Ziria as well as ponies so that children can become familiar with the noble Olympic sport of horse riding.
